We are working closely with Boston Children's Hospital and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to make sure that we are keeping our patients safe during the coronavirus outbreak. As you may know, the CDC and public health authorities are asking everyone to do their part to decrease the spread of coronavirus.
We are doing everything we can to keep our patients safe, which includes trying to get your child the care you need without bringing you into the office. In addition, if a medical provider is diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus at this time, it is likely that the entire office would need to close for a period of time. Therefore, we are also trying to minimize our own exposure to this virus so that we can remain open and continue to provide care for our patients.
For most patients, the virus causes a flu-like illness that can be managed safely at home. We will remain available to you by phone throughout this outbreak to assist you with decisions around your/your child's care. Our continued concern is providing you/your child with comprehensive and compassionate care in accordance with the most up-to-date guidelines.
We do not have the ability to test for the virus at this time.
