Holliston Pediatrics provides comprehensive medical care for children, and treats most conditions of childhood and adolescence, including allergies, asthma, nutrition, and school and behavioral issues. As members of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Physicians Organization at Children's Hospital we keep abreast of all the latest developments and recommendations for pediatric care. We are pleased to have a certified lactation consultant on site as part of our healthcare team. We also offer the services of a Pediatric Allergist and a Child Psychologist at one of our locations for the convenience of our patients.
      The physicians of Holliston Pediatrics participate in the teaching of pediatric residents and medical students. We also participate in research with some of the major medical centers in the Boston area. Research projects have included investigations into the diagnosis and management of otitis media (ear infections), vaccine research, and the use of antibiotics in children.

Prenatal Visits
       If you are expecting a new baby, you probably have many questions. We encourage expectant parents to schedule a prenatal consultation with one of our pediatricians. This is an excellent time to ask questions, meet your baby's future pediatrician and become familiar with the office. The prenatal consultation is available at no charge.

Well Child Visits
       At your child's regular well care visit, we will monitor your child's health, growth and development. During these visits we will perform a complete physical examination and discuss with you issues pertaining to your child's health including nutrition, behavior and sleep patterns. We will also administer the appropriate vaccinations for your child's age. These visits are also an excellent opportunity to discuss any questions you may have regarding any aspect of your child's health. As members of the American Academy of Pediatrics we follow the recommended schedule of well care visits, screening tests and vaccinations.

Office Hours
       Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There are some days at each location with early morning appointments, as well as evening hours in our Milford office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We try to maintain an appointment structure that will accommodate your scheduling needs for both well and sick appointments. Calls placed to either office after 5:00 PM will be forwarded to our answering service who will then notify the appropriate on-call provider or triage nurse. If you feel your call is urgent, please let the person answering the phone know this.
       A physician from our practice is on call every day of the year and available for urgent care on week­ends and holidays at our Milford office.

Our Hospital Affiliation
     We are affiliated with both Children's Hospital (Boston), and Metrowest Medical Center (Framingham). Patients requiring hospitalization are usually admitted to Metrowest Medical Center (MWMC). In the event that your child needs to be admitted to another facility for specialized care, we will make those arrangements for you.
       We also see our newborn patients at MWMC. If your infant is born at another hospital, the physicians on staff at that hospital will provide care during your stay. We see all newborns in our office shortly after discharge, so that we can answer any questions and complete a physical exam.

Prescriptions and Referrals
       Our office staff is committed to making things run as smoothly as possible. If you need a specialty referral, please let our staff know as soon as possible. Most referrals take a few days to process. Also, if your child needs a prescription refill you should call in advance so we may review your child's record and process your request. Try to anticipate the need for this if you feel you may run out of medication on a weekend or holiday.

       Our practice is contracted with most of the major HMO/PPO plans. Please call our office to confirm participation in your plan.
